Our take

Semrush offers a free trial before you commit to a paid plan. Paid plans start at $139.95/month. Its biggest strengths are massive keyword and backlink database and covers seo, ppc and social; the main trade-off is that expensive for solo founders. Check the deals on this page before you buy — UseThisForThat members often save on their first months or year.

Massive keyword and backlink database

We switched to Semrush last year. Massive keyword and backlink database — that alone justified it for us. Expensive for solo founders, but it's a fair trade-off.

Priya Raman · Indie hacker

Solid choice for small teams

Semrush does what it says. Covers SEO, PPC and social. Setup took an afternoon and the team adopted it right away.

Tom Becker · CTO, Shipyard Labs

Great, with a few caveats

Love Great competitor insights. My only gripe: Steep learning curve. Grabbed the deal here and saved a nice chunk on year one.
