UseThisForThat
Affiliate disclosure
We believe you should always know how a site that recommends products gets paid. Here's exactly how we do.
Last updated: October 7, 2026
The short version
UseThisForThat is free to use. Many of the links on this site are affiliate or partner links. If you click one and then sign up for or buy a product, we may earn a commission from the vendor. This never costs you anything extra, and in many cases our links unlock a discount you wouldn't otherwise get.
This disclosure is provided in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255).
How we make money
- Affiliate commissions. Outbound "Get deal" and "Visit website" buttons route through
usethisforthat.com/go/…so we can attribute sign-ups to us. Vendors or affiliate networks (e.g. Impact, PartnerStack, CJ, Rewardful) may pay us a one-time or recurring commission. - Premium membership. Paying members unlock our best negotiated deals. Membership revenue lets us stay independent of any single vendor.
- Vendor listings. Vendors can submit their tool and an exclusive offer through our vendor portal. Listing is free; we decide what gets published.
What money doesn't buy
- Ratings and reviews are editorial. A vendor cannot pay to change its rating, pros and cons, or position in comparisons.
- We list tools without affiliate programs. If a tool is the right answer, we recommend it whether or not we earn anything.
- Sponsored placements are labeled. If we ever accept paid placement, it will be clearly marked "Sponsored".
Deals and promo codes
We work hard to keep deals accurate, but vendors can change or end offers at any time. Always confirm the final price and terms on the vendor's site before you buy. If a deal doesn't work, please tell us and we'll fix or remove it.
